Prevent Infertility With Diet

My warm wishes to www.medicalonline.in a new pathway to promote Medical Tourism in Tamilnadu. I wish to contribute to the unique site by offering an article related to the field which I attached with.

“What one eats affects everything from the blood to the cells & to the hormones”

We can observe the women with the maximum fertility diet scores always ate less trans fat and also sugar from carbohydrates, regularly took multivitamins never failed to maintain a lower BMI and consumed more protein from vegetables rather than from animals, ate more of fiber and iron, exercised for more longer periods of time each day, and, rather surprisingly, we see they consumed more high-fat dairy products and less low-fat dairy products. These factors definitely improved their fertility.

Since Fat is very essential to fertility and is required in order to ovulate. The advice would be to eat healthily and to exercise regularly, and to aim for right body mass index (BMI) which is recommended.

Nutritional status assessment

Please Advise the nutritional assessment by a visit to a nutritional therapist and it is money well spent as it is thousands of times cheaper than the IVF methods, and could sometimes do away with the need for IVF alto-gether. A nutritional therapist will help to assess one\'s unique vitamin and mineral deficiencies, and then advise on the kind of tailor-made program of food supplements to suit your body and help in getting your nutrient levels back to normal over a four month period.

Also take additional supplements

We all know that food isn’t as nutrience rich as it once so a balanced diet is not enough, and an additional dose of supplements would be required. For all those women who are unable to get a personalised nutritional program, the following is recommended by experts: 1,000 mg of linseed or flax oil a day; 1,000 mg vitamin C a day; zinc citrate or amino acid chelate (total of 30mg of zinc a day); and a multivitamin designed for pregnancy.

Minimize on incorrect fats

We are aware that all fats are not  bad. The body definitely needs essential fats-namely Omega 3 and Omega 6 oils - which are available in oily fish such as salmon, sardines, herrings and mackerel.

Clinical nutritionist, advise that these are critical for both female and male fertility; help in regulating fluidity of cell membranes and also allowing cells to function efficiently.

Conversely, hydrogenated oils and partially-hydrogenated oils (found in crisps, margarines), as well as saturated fats (contained in meat and dairy) are to be avoided, as they block the absorption of essential fats.

Learn to be patient

we must understand that the time required is three months for an egg to travel from a group of follicles to be selected as the egg that is released on a cycle. And in men it also takes three months to generate a completely new batch of sperm. It will take  about four months before lifestyle and dietary changes have an effect.

We are what we eat

One of the most important mineral for female and male fertility is zinc. In a 1995 National Food Survey, it was found that  nine out of 10 people are grossly deficient in this essential mineral. And this is because many our foods today are stripped by the process of being refined and also because of depletion of the soil due to intensive farming. Wheat, for example, contains zinc, but we find that 80 percent is always removed in the manufacture of bread.

Marilyn Glenville, a well known  nutritional therapist and author of Natural Solutions to Infertility, says to buy organic food-because it\'s more nutrient rich and because harmful pesticides are eliminated - and to eat a variety of foods, including fish, nuts, seeds, fresh fruit and vegetables.

Food rich in zinc includes mangoes, pumpkin seed and fish. Oysters, es-teemed for their aphrodisiac qualities, are particularly high in zinc.
